Hosting roughly 16,000 aircraft operations per year, Elko Regional Airport (EKO) is located one mile west of Elko in northern Nevada. Owned by the City of Elko, EKO has two runways servicing general aviation, air taxi, and military flights.
Elko Airport was the terminus for the first scheduled air mail run in the United States in 1926. EKO now connects Delta Airlines flights to Salt Lake City, operated by Skywest Airlines.
Averaging nearly 5,000 aircraft operations annually, Ely Airport (ELY) serves Ely and White Pine County in Northern Nevada. Owned by White Pine County, ELY covers almost 5,000 acres and has two runways.
The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems categorizes ELY as a general aviation airport, with passenger, private, and commercial slight services available. ELY is conveniently located just about three miles from downtown Ely.
Great Basin National Park
Comprised of 77,000 acres, Great Basin National Park is an outdoors person's paradise, located near Ely in northern Nevada.
Wheeler Peak is the tallest peak in the park at 13,063 feet and is one of the park's more prominent features.
Go underground for a fun guided tour of the Lehman Caves, located at the base of Wheeler Peak.

Comprised of 140 acres near Mountain City, the Wild Horse State Recreation Area is an outdoors person's paradise set near Elko in northern Nevada. The park is located along the shores of the 2,800-acre Wild Horse Resevoir – making Wild Horse an excellent spot for water recreation like fishing, boating, and swimming.
Visitors are encouraged to explore the scenery via the Wild Horse Loop Trail and the OHV Trail. Likewise, the Nevada Division of State Parks has helped to devleoped the area for ATV and snowmobile use given appropriate weather.
